About The Position

Alfa Insurance is offering a Marketing & Sales Intern position that provides a unique opportunity to go beyond the typical internship experience. The goal is to provide a comprehensive understanding of how an insurance company operates cohesively, fostering lasting professional and personal relationships.

Requirements

Rising Junior or Senior in a 4-year university.
Computer skills and ability to learn new programs (Microsoft Office).
Good communication skills.
Team player.

Responsibilities

Attain Property & Casualty license (paid for by Alfa).
Sell insurance as appointed by Alfa to gain real-world sales experience.
Prospect new business in multi-line insurance.
Quote and bind policies.
Handle customer inquiries.
Document requests and complete changes.
Accept and process premiums and dues in a membership organization.
Utilize strong communication skills on multiple platforms.
Employ conflict resolution skills.
Adapt to a constantly changing, extremely fast-paced environment.
Provide support to agent and service center staff as needed.
Make decisions to determine applicant insurability and placement using competent skills in binding and processing applications.
