About The Position

The Utility Foreman will supervise, coordinate, and assist in the construction and repair of both overhead and underground distribution systems. This role involves responding to and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner, providing leadership and training to line and service personnel, and championing safe work practices to ensure compliance with Company Safety Rules. The Foreman will work to ensure network goals and objectives are met or exceeded, manage all SO/SR/WR's in DIS/DSS, and organize work to manage multiple tasks and inputs simultaneously. They must maintain a positive attitude in extreme working conditions and possess a strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and accuracy to direct construction/repair crews safely and construct/restore the electric system efficiently. Additional duties include assisting in Network operations, storm restorations, and the operation of AM/FM, as well as directing contract crews. The role requires motivating and influencing a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce dealing with a wide variety of safety and training issues. The Foreman will also assume Line Supervisor's duties in their absence.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of line experience or equivalent.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks.
• Required to work safely and follow all Entergy safety policies and procedures.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Strong decision making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
• Self-motivated and dependable team player.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to recognize hazards in the workplace and have the ability to mitigate the hazards.
• Ability to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assets.
• Class A Commercial driver's license.

Responsibilities
