About The Position

Interns participate in a special session of our award-winning Leadership Academy, which teaches them to build self-awareness, embrace change, implement innovative processes, and strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving skills. After internships conclude, resumes are kept on file as potential candidates for future opportunities. Requirements

Rising Junior or Senior in a 4-year university
Computer skills and ability to learn new programs (Microsoft Office)
Good communication skills
Team player

Responsibilities

Ability to attain Property & Casualty license (this will be paid for by Alfa).
Intern will be appointed by Alfa to sell insurance allowing the intern to gain real world sales experience
Responsible for prospecting new business in multi-line insurance, quoting and binding policies, handling customer inquiries, documenting requests and completing changes, accept and process premiums and dues in a membership organization.
Service to members includes strong communication skills on multiple platforms, conflict resolutions skills, ability to quickly learn new computer programs and processes.
Proficient at adapting to a constantly changing, extremely fast-paced environment.
Provide support to the agent and service center staff as needed.
Make decisions to determine applicant insurability and placement using competent skills in binding and processing applications.
