About The Position

Assist the Development Team with the planning and execution of Make-A-Wish Alabama special events, individual giving and corporate alliances.

Requirements

• Must be a student pursuing a degree in a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Previous internship or volunteer experience in event planning or non-profit sector.
• Familiarity with donor databases (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce).
• Experience with social media platforms for event promotion.

Responsibilities

• Soliciting silent auction items
• Mass emailing
• Calling vendors, donors, & wish families
• Data entry
• Obtaining quotes for events
• Utilizing donor database to pull information
• Research
