About The Position
The Sales Intern participates in Aerotek’s 10-week paid Ascend internship program and learns the three phases of business supported by a local operation: Recruiting, Account Management, and Field Support, with a heavy emphasis on sales. The intern uses business acumen while interacting with Aerotek employees, candidates, contractors, and clients. Successful completion of the program could potentially lead to a full-time offer in the Sales Development Representative program. Aerotek is an operating company within Allegis Group, a global talent solutions provider. The company describes itself as privately held, with more than 200 offices nationwide, and says it works with 95% of Fortune 500 companies. Its staffing and services solutions span manufacturing, logistics, construction, aviation, facilities, and maintenance. Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college or university and seeking a BA/BS degree.
- Knowledge of MS Office.
- Customer service experience.
- Sales-related experience.
Nice To Haves
- A sales degree, minor, or certificate is preferred.
- Being between junior and senior years is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Post available positions online through the Connected candidate tracking system to increase the candidate pool.
- Evaluate resumes and select qualified candidates for interviews.
- Schedule candidate interviews with recruiters.
- Shadow recruiters during calls, interviews, and reference checks.
- Maintain documentation in Aerotek’s Applicant Tracking System.
- Attend contractor lunches with recruiters.
- Shadow account managers on cold calls and client visits.
- Shadow account managers through client acquisition and requisition qualification processes.
- Attend networking events.
- Participate in lead generation and shadow cold-calling sessions.
- Shadow Field Support during background investigations and drug-testing processes.
- Shadow Field Support during the unemployment process, including claims and hearings.
