About The Position

Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking a Sales Intern for summer 2027 to learn, grow, and contribute to the Sales team. The internship provides hands-on experience with sales processes, customer relationships, market activities, and business operations in the steel manufacturing industry. Interns participate in ongoing divisional assignments and projects intended to create value across the organization, and may shadow experienced team members to learn how Sales supports customers, business objectives, and continued growth. The program is designed to support interns’ career goals while providing meaningful exposure to the steel industry. Safety is a priority, and interns must uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Internships are hosted at Nucor divisions across the United States; location preference is considered, but placement depends on division needs.

Requirements

Must be working toward a four-year bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with an expected graduation date no later than May 2028.
Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Must have reliable transportation for the duration of the internship.
Entrepreneurial mindset, strong ownership, communication and relationship-building skills, and a desire to lead and contribute across the organization.

Responsibilities

Contribute to ongoing divisional assignments involving sales processes, customer relationships, market activities, and business operations.
Collaborate on projects designed to drive value across the organization.
Shadow experienced team members to learn how the Sales team supports customers, business objectives, and company growth.
Initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
