About The Position

The Sales Floor Department Supervisor leads and enables a team of associates to deliver a strong customer experience. The role includes coaching and training associates, delegating and following up on daily tasks, managing performance, and ensuring adequate department coverage. The supervisor handles both customer-facing activities—such as greeting customers, clarifying needs, identifying solutions, and closing sales—and operational responsibilities such as down stocking, inventory management, area recovery, and store safety. They may supervise associates in other departments as needed, requiring broad product knowledge and the ability to engage associates and customers across departments. The role also requires communicating concerns, issues, praise, and morale updates to management. The supervisor may occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty.
