About The Position

This is a part-time position where the associate will be responsible for bringing processed clothing to the sales floor and assisting customers. Excellent customer service skills are a must. The Retail Centers are open 9 AM to 9 PM Mondays through Saturdays and 9 AM to 8 PM on Sundays. This position is eligible for Daily Pay, a voluntary benefit allowing employees access to their earned pay on their own schedule. Part-time employees in the Retail and Sales/Operations Division are eligible for paid holidays, sick leave, jury duty, and bereavement leave. All employees aged 18 and over can contribute to a retirement plan. Goodwill of Colorado is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) eligible employer.

Requirements

Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Must have attention to detail and ability to make decisions.
Ability to use basic technologies to follow company standards.
Ability to use judgment to assess quality and value of product and pricing, researching value as necessary.
Ability to see color and use judgment to assess quality and value of product and pricing, researching value as necessary.
Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.
Must be able to work a varied schedule which may include weekends, evenings and holidays as needed with occasional overtime.

Nice To Haves

A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
One (1) year of retail experience is preferred.
Prior visual merchandising experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensures the sales floor area is well stocked with product in an organized and presentable fashion.
Interacts with customers, providing assistance and answering product questions.
Maintains cleanliness of the sales floor and restrooms.
Meets or exceeds minimum productivity standards and expectations/Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for assigned duties.
Acts as an ambassador of pricing according to Goodwill standards of quality and value, which may include researching item values.
Maintains a clean and organized sales floor by regularly cleaning and organizing shelves and racks, picking items up off the floor, putting away product(s) from racks, carts, or baskets, and putting away returned or unwanted items.
Ensures sales floor areas are properly merchandised to standard (categorized, colorized, sized).
Makes decisions to flex product to improve customer shopping experience and increase sales.
Assists production by communicating targeted needs for the floor to the manager on duty.
Provides excellent customer service by adhering to the 10-foot rule (smile, greet, make eye contact) and answering product questions.
Rotates or pulls old or unsold product(s) in a timely manner from the sales floor to ensure product selection is refreshed.
Responsible for E-Commerce product identification and pulling from the sales floor.
Follows all retail center policies and procedures.
Follows all safety processes and procedures to help provide a safe working environment.
Cross-trains in other departments or areas and acts as a back-up for other areas as required.
Performs additional responsibilities as required.
