About The Position

Mantis helps organizations improve building performance by integrating energy, facility operations, and sustainability. Their work covers the full facility lifecycle, including planning, design, execution, and asset management for commercial, industrial, data center, and complex mechanical system portfolios. Mantis focuses on four core areas: Building Controls, Energy Efficiency, Energy Advisory, and Facility Management, offering services such as HVAC/mechanical optimization, BMS/BAS and EPMS controls, lighting system upgrades, energy brokerage, roofing and building envelope assessments, and construction management. This role is for a proven B2B sales professional with extensive experience in energy procurement brokerage, specializing in electricity, natural gas, and green energy. The Sales Executive will drive new business growth and expand into large key accounts, focusing on consultative sales, building long-term client relationships, and delivering solutions for energy spend management, efficiency strategies, and other Mantis offerings. The position involves a hybrid schedule with 3 days in-office per week and 30-40% travel.

Requirements

  • 5+ years selling B2B electricity, natural gas, or green energy contracts (supplier or broker backgrounds welcome).
  • Multi-year track record of exceeding individual quotas (~$1M+).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell into multiple levels of an organization.
  • Hunter and closer mentality with exceptional networking and cold-calling skills.
  • Strategic and tactical selling expertise with new prospects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Consultative approach to building long-term client relationships.
  • Results-driven mindset with relentless focus on exceeding targets.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, uncover, and develop strategies to secure new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects and key energy accounts.
  • Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings daily with C-level decision makers.
  • Position solutions that optimize energy spend and deliver measurable value.
  • Analyze and report customer positions and commodity contract performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  • Exceed sales goals consistently and contribute to overall market share growth.
