About The Position

Mantis helps organizations improve building performance by integrating energy, facility operations, and sustainability. Our teams work across the entire facility lifecycle, from planning and design to field execution and long-term asset management, serving commercial and industrial portfolios, data centers, and complex mechanical systems. Our core areas include Building Controls, Energy Efficiency, Energy Advisory, and Facility Management, encompassing HVAC/mechanical optimization, BMS/BAS and EPMS controls, lighting system upgrades, energy brokerage, roofing and building envelope assessments, and construction management. We are seeking a proven B2B sales professional with extensive experience in energy procurement brokerage sales, specializing in electricity, natural gas, and green energy. This role is crucial for driving new business growth and expanding into large key accounts (typically ~5,000 MWh and up). It's a consultative sales position focused on building long-term client relationships and delivering solutions for energy spend management, including procurement and efficiency strategies, as well as the full suite of Mantis offerings. The position reports to the Director of Sales, Energy Key Accounts and has a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days in-office per week, with 30-40% travel for client meetings and events.

Requirements

  • 5+ years selling B2B electricity, natural gas, or green energy contracts (supplier or broker backgrounds welcome).
  • Multi-year track record of exceeding individual quotas (~$1M+).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell into multiple levels of an organization.
  • Hunter and closer mentality with exceptional networking and cold-calling skills.
  • Strategic and tactical selling expertise with new prospects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Consultative approach to building long-term client relationships.
  • Results-driven mindset with relentless focus on exceeding targets.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, uncover, and develop strategies to secure new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects and key energy accounts.
  • Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings daily with C-level decision makers.
  • Position solutions that optimize energy spend and deliver measurable value.
  • Analyze and report customer positions and commodity contract performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  • Exceed sales goals consistently and contribute to overall market share growth.
