About The Position

Mantis helps organizations improve how their buildings perform by bringing together energy, facility operations, and sustainability into one connected approach. Our teams work across the full lifecycle of a facility—from planning and design to field execution and long-term asset management—across commercial and industrial portfolios, data centers, and complex mechanical systems. Our work spans four core areas: Building Controls, Energy Efficiency, Energy Advisory, and Facility Management—covering HVAC/mechanical optimization, BMS/BAS and EPMS controls, lighting system upgrades, energy brokerage, roofing and building envelope assessments, construction management, and more. Whether you’re in sales, engineering, construction/project management, field operations, corporate, or technology, you’ll play a role in delivering these solutions and helping clients improve facility performance. We're seeking a skilled B2B sales professional with experience in energy procurement brokerage or supplier sales - specializing in electricity, natural gas, and green energy. As a Sales Executive on the energy team, you’ll play a critical role in driving new business growth and expanding our footprint into small and medium-sized business accounts (typically 50-5,000 MWh). This is a high-volume sales role, focuses on heavy cold calling and outreach to build client relationships and deliver solutions that manage energy spend across procurement, energy efficiency, and the full suite of Mantis offerings.

Requirements

  • 5 years selling B2B electricity, natural gas, or green energy contracts (supplier or broker backgrounds welcome).
  • Sales track record of exceeding individual quotas ($300k)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Demonstrated ability to sell into multiple levels of an organization.
  • Hunter and closer mentality with strong networking and cold-calling skills.
  • Strategic and tactical selling expertise with new prospects.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced sales and client success approach.
  • Results-driven mindset with relentless focus on exceeding targets.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, uncover, and develop strategies to secure new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a high-volume pipeline of prospects and SMB energy accounts.
  • Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings daily with client decision makers.
  • Position solutions that optimize energy spend and deliver measurable value.
  • Analyze and report customer positions and commodity contract performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records in Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  • Exceed sales goals consistently and contribute to overall market share growth.
