About The Position

Equiliem is seeking an experienced Healthcare Staffing Business Development Executive to join their growing healthcare staffing division. This role focuses on generating new direct client relationships and expanding the company's healthcare staffing footprint across the Northeast. The primary focus is selling staffing services in Allied Health, Per Diem / PRN Nursing, Clinical healthcare staffing, and Healthcare workforce solutions. The position involves prospecting, developing, and closing relationships with hospitals, health systems, acute care facilities, behavioral health organizations, outpatient centers, and other healthcare providers. This is a hunter role focused on new client acquisition, revenue generation, account growth, and long-term client development. The ideal candidate will have prior experience selling healthcare staffing services on behalf of a staffing agency and a strong understanding of the healthcare staffing sales cycle, competitive landscape, rate structures, client procurement processes, and the relationship between sales and recruiting delivery.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of healthcare staffing agency sales or business development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience selling staffing services directly to healthcare organizations.
  • Proven experience developing new business and net-new healthcare accounts.
  • Experience selling into one or more of the following: Hospital systems, Acute care facilities, Allied Health, Per Diem / PRN Nursing, Behavioral health, Outpatient healthcare organizations.
  • Proven success meeting or exceeding sales, gross profit, revenue, or new-account targets.
  • Strong understanding of the staffing agency business model.
  • Experience managing a sales pipeline from prospecting through contract execution and active requisitions.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with healthcare executives, talent acquisition leaders, procurement teams, nursing leadership, and operational stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, territory management, and follow-up skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for a healthcare staffing agency and personally responsible for opening new healthcare accounts.
  • Existing relationships within hospitals or regional health systems.
  • Experience selling healthcare staffing solutions across the Northeast.
  • Knowledge of healthcare credentialing, compliance, onboarding, and vendor management processes.
  • Experience working with MSP, VMS, direct-client, or vendor-neutral staffing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Generate net-new business for Equiliem’s healthcare staffing division.
  • Prospect and develop relationships with hospitals, health systems, acute care facilities, outpatient centers, behavioral health organizations, and other healthcare providers.
  • Identify and engage healthcare decision-makers responsible for staffing, workforce planning, talent acquisition, procurement, nursing operations, clinical operations, and vendor partnerships.
  • Build and manage a strategic sales territory across key Northeast markets.
  • Conduct discovery calls, client meetings, presentations, and capability discussions.
  • Convert prospects into active staffing clients and revenue-producing accounts.
  • Secure staffing agreements, master service agreements, vendor relationships, and active requisitions.
  • Negotiate bill rates, contract terms, service expectations, and partnership agreements while maintaining healthy margins.
  • Sell Equiliem’s staffing capabilities across Allied Health and Per Diem / PRN Nursing.
  • Identify healthcare organizations experiencing staffing shortages, workforce gaps, fluctuating census needs, and difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Understand client staffing models, utilization patterns, credentialing requirements, compliance expectations, and workforce challenges.
  • Position Equiliem as a strategic staffing partner rather than simply another staffing vendor.
  • Educate prospective clients on Equiliem’s capabilities, recruiting reach, delivery model, and workforce solutions.
  • Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified healthcare prospects.
  • Develop short- and long-term strategies for territory growth.
  • Maintain disciplined prospecting, follow-up, CRM activity, and opportunity management.
  • Forecast new business opportunities, revenue, and expected account growth.
  • Monitor healthcare staffing trends, market conditions, competitor activity, and client demand.
  • Prioritize accounts and opportunities based on revenue potential and strategic fit.
  • Grow newly acquired clients into long-term strategic accounts.
  • Identify opportunities to expand staffing volume, service lines, locations, and departments.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to understand workforce needs and upcoming demand.
  • Develop relationships across multiple stakeholders within client organizations.
  • Increase requisition volume, fill opportunities, and overall account penetration.
  • Partner closely with healthcare recruiters and recruiting leadership.
  • Communicate client expectations, job requirements, urgency, rates, and hiring priorities.
  • Provide recruiters with detailed market and client intelligence.
  • Share client feedback quickly to improve candidate quality and delivery.
  • Work collaboratively to improve fill rates, speed-to-fill, and overall client satisfaction.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from new client acquisition to ongoing account delivery.
