About The Position

The Sales & Events Coordinator will assist in driving group revenue by booking room blocks, meetings and banquets. They bridge sales and daily operations—qualifying leads, drafting proposals, conducting site tours, and partnering with catering, gaming, and front desk teams to execute successful events.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree in a related field as well as one (1) to three (3) years of resort sales experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education
  • Solid decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking, hands-on environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a positive and professional working relationships with all individuals.
  • Have basic skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime and irregular hours.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
  • Maintain a healthy relationship with existing customers while opening up fresh customers.
  • Provide sales and administrative support involving efficient handling of top and confidential agreements.
  • Support the sales team in attaining sales targets.
  • Prepare monthly, weekly or daily sales analysis.
  • Prepare proposals, agreements, sales reports, and presentations.
  • Update the status of sales order in the database or computer.
  • Collect, analyze, evaluate and account the information in order to increase productivity of sales.
  • Monitor the trends and evaluating the performance assessed against monthly sales goals.
  • Coordinate and responding to all requests of internal meetings.
  • Assist in the implementation of sales strategy as prepared by the Sales event manager.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and practices within area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports and employees as appropriate.
  • Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Safeguard the confidential information of all employee, department and company records.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
  • Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
