About The Position

The Drain Doctors is a family-owned business with over 20 years of experience in plumbing and drainage repair, maintenance, and service. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our growing team. As a Sales Estimator, you will meet with customers, inspect properties to identify drainage or water-management problems, develop practical solutions, prepare clear and accurate estimates, and explain issues and solutions to customers. You will also present options, discuss pricing, ask for business, follow up on leads, document all interactions in our CRM, and provide essential information to our installation team. Collaboration with Sales, Dispatch, Operations, and field teams is key, as is participation in training, coaching, and professional development to meet performance and customer-service goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in drainage, plumbing, construction, estimating or in-home sales can be helpful, but it isn't the only path into this position.
  • We're interested in finding the right person with the right combination of communication skills, problem-solving ability, aptitude, accountability and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers and listen carefully to their concerns.
  • Inspect properties and help identify the underlying drainage or water-management problem.
  • Evaluate site conditions and develop practical solutions.
  • Prepare clear, accurate and complete estimates.
  • Explain problems and solutions in a way customers can understand.
  • Present options, discuss pricing and confidently ask for the opportunity to earn the customer's business.
  • Follow up consistently on open estimates and customer opportunities.
  • Document inspections, estimates, photos, measurements and customer communication in our CRM.
  • Provide our installation team with the information they need to successfully complete the project.
  • Work closely with Sales, Dispatch, Operations and our field teams.
  • Participate in training, coaching, ride-alongs and ongoing professional development.
  • Work toward established performance and customer-service goals.
