The Sales Engineer is responsible for the sales activities in their respective territory. The Sales Engineer will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with our existing clients. Travels to customers and potential customers’ facilities providing them with information and support as required to secure and maintain business. Target customers for growth, cost reduction and/or price adjustments as needed to achieve Revenue and Cost goals. Ensures that sales activities comply with sales policies and procedures. Recommends to the Company areas of future growth potential such, new market strategies, etc. Assists in establishing sales objectives for product area and/or geographic region in cooperation with management. Provide timely reporting of activities in the field and special reporting to assist in business and product planning. Independently recognizes and seeks out sales, methods of obtaining sales and providing service to customers within area of accountability which can include necessity for cold calling with new prospects & customers. Assist in the preparation of written quotes, RFP’s, RFI’s and RFQ responses and sales proposals & negotiations. Handle all customer calls and emails on timely basis. Attend industry events including trade shows, conferences, etc. to promote, build relationships, market & sell. Assist in the development of sales tools for your customers. Ensure new product information is communicated to appropriate personnel as required. Analyze and evaluate unit price and costs results in order to maintain acceptable profit margins. Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.
