About The Position
Sales Engineer selling fault monitoring equipment used by electric utilities for locating, predicting, and preventing grid faults. The fault monitoring equipment finds fault locations within seconds and predicts potential problems before they happen, optimizes grid operations, reduces downtime, and enhances safety. It operates on medium and high voltage grids.
Requirements
- Ideally based in the Northeast US or willing to travel extensively to the area.
- 5+ years of experience selling to the electrical power industry particularly in US power grid technologies used on distribution and transmission systems
- Ability to teach and relate ideas or concepts to individuals with varied levels of experience
- B.S. Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience in the field of electric power engineering
- Experience in working with network protection, automation & control devices, IT and data communications
Responsibilities
- Expand sales throughout assigned territory by calling on electric utilities
- New customer acquisition
- Develop proposals for customers
- Attend conferences and trade shows
Benefits
- Salary up to $150,000 (DOE) with total compensation potential of $200,000+
