About The Position

Our client, a national leader in industrial automation, is seeking an Inside Technical Sales Engineer to join the Direct Marketing Team. This role focuses on generating and managing opportunities with mid-sized manufacturers and OEM clients, typically involving project values between $20K and $50K.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree preferred in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical sales or sales engineering; industrial automation experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record generating new business opportunities and meeting outbound activity targets.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and AI-enabled engagement tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and relationship-building skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize AI-driven sales tools and prospect lists to identify and contact high-potential leads across the U.S.
  • Conduct outbound calls and drive new opportunity creation and closure.
  • Schedule and lead technical discovery meetings through Microsoft Teams.
  • Work closely with internal engineering teams to develop customized automation solutions.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and manage multiple prospects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Follow a hybrid work model after completing a 36 month training period.
