We are expanding our GTM technical team and seeking a Sales Engineer to act as the technical lead for our prospect partners. Your primary responsibilities will include creating bespoke demos for partners across Parafin’s product suite, identifying product gaps and nuances to ensure a smooth hand-off to the post-sales implementation team, and driving pre-sales technical scoping discussions for Parafin's capital program and working with the partners to design scalable solutions tailored to meet their needs. You will act as a bridge between partner requirements and our product capabilities, working closely with product and engineering counterparts, ensuring optimal integration and functionality. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building out a best-in-class technical pre-sales function. You will report to the Partner Engineering Manager and work closely with sales, platform growth, product, and engineering. Join us and drive Parafin’s growth!

  • Lead pre-sales technical scoping with our Parafin’s prospective partners, prospect partners’ engineering teams, acting as the primary technical contact and driving successful integration handoff
  • Collaborate with prospective partners’ technical stakeholders and development teams to understand business goals and requirements, also occasionally presenting proposed integration paths to C-suite level executives and Fortune 500 companies, while highlighting the ROI and technical requirements
  • Conduct informative and engaging sessions to showcase our product portfolio, advocating for the most suitable technical solutions for our partners, catered to their product resourcing limitations, data hygiene nuances, and business goals.
  • Provide technical expertise to help prospect partners understand how our embedded financial product can address their specific needs.
  • Develop and execute proof of concepts to demonstrate feasibility and effectiveness of embedded finance
  • Develop detailed architectural blueprints and technical documentation for project implementation.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to improve Parafin's offerings, using valuable partner feedback to drive product enhancements and influence Parafin’s roadmap
  • Define the technical pre-sales strategy, opportunities for scalable processes, at Parafin in collaboration with leadership
  • 5-8+ years of experience in client-facing technical roles, preferably in sales or solutions engineering, solutions architect, or technical account management
  • Familiarity in software engineering concepts and programming languages
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-suite level stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, Webhooks, SDKs, data pipelines, and embeddable UI components
  • Comfortable exploring and navigating Parafin's codebase, particularly with proficiency in React and Scala
  • Proven experience in creating working demos and production applications, showcasing your ability to apply technical skills to practical use cases
  • Ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to evolving requirements and priorities, and interest in creating a sales engineering function with scalable principles that are applicable long-term.
  • Demonstrated passion for helping small businesses grow and succeed, showing genuine dedication to the success of our partners.
  • Proficiency in crafting clear technical documentation for effective knowledge sharing, troubleshooting, and best practice distribution to internal teams and external partners.
