About The Position

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing a unique range of analytical testing services. This Sales Engineer position involves collaborating with customers to define project scopes, acting as a liaison between clients and the operations team, and driving new and existing business. The role requires spending time in the lab, mentoring, and assisting clients during on-site days. A key focus is on core safety, Hazardous Locations, and EMC/Wireless testing. The position involves managing quotes, orders, and proposals, supporting the national sales team, and partnering with Sales Executives for solution selling. The Sales Engineer will also handle technical aspects of RFQs, coordinate with sales leadership and marketing, collect competitive intelligence, provide training on services, and coordinate service expansions. Creating and delivering presentations, representing the company at trade shows, and other duties as assigned are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably electrical or mechanical engineering) and/or AA or AS degree with relevant experience
  • Leadership experience in a Laboratory setting, preferably in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry.
  • Strong business acumen
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to follow written instructions
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to work with ITAR technical data
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well and communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff as a team member.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers to define scope of projects and be a liaison between the client and the operations team.
  • Spend time in lab working with team, mentoring, and assisting clients as needed during on site days.
  • Drive new and existing business by researching clients, prospecting, specifically for core safety, Hazardous Locations and EMC/Wireless.
  • Manage quotes, orders, and proposals—ensuring the right standards, pricing, and terms are applied.
  • Work with assigned sales executives to provide solution selling into current account base, prospective target accounts, leads, and previous accounts to revive.
  • Support the national sales team with quotations, orders, and customer meetings to increase orders and revenue.
  • Partner with Sales Executives to plan, prepare and execute strategic deals in complex sales cycles.
  • Receive incoming RFQs from the national network of sales representatives and respond quickly with feedback on additional information that would be required to properly quote.
  • Manage all technical aspects of RFQ through quotation delivery and objects to closing.
  • Coordinate with sales leadership and marketing on specific targeted industries including trade show leadership and attendance when needed.
  • Collect and document competitive intelligence.
  • Provide training as needed regarding our services offerings.
  • Coordinate with the lab manager and sales leadership on expansions of services, new offerings, and scaling up the business.
  • Showcase expertise by creating and delivering compelling presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to position testing solutions strategically in the market.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events to build relationships and generate leads.
  • Other duties as assigned.
