Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Engineering Master Degree Candidate
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in technical sales in a custom engineered manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in heavy industry or electric power culture, with knowledge of contract development cycle.
  • Process driven and customer satisfaction motivated.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work within a team, and to delegate tasks when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD software.

  • Work experience with a privately-held company will be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Sales Manager and Supervisor to determine sales strategy, equipment/system requirements, perform preliminary design calculations, create preliminary flow diagrams, and interface with other UCC Environmental groups as necessary.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, and review estimates with Sales Manager and Supervisor as necessary, prior to proposal submittal.
  • Prepare proposal documents using standard UCC Environmental formats, ensuring accuracy of information, professional presentation of offering, effectiveness of submittal, and adherence to UCC Environmental commercial and technical guidelines.
  • Work directly with clients and sales representatives to define customers’ needs and recommend viable solutions.
  • Visit customer’s sites to support proposal activity.
  • Maintain customer contact after the proposal is submitted, providing follow-up responses and additional information as necessary during the customer’s evaluation process.
  • Communicate project award information to the organization in a timely manner following UCC Environmental formatting and internal standards.
  • All other duties as assigned.
