About The Position

As a Sales Engineer, you'll partner with sales directors to design and present video distribution solutions to close deals. You'll meet with customers early in the process to uncover technical needs, identify pain points, and understand business goals to then craft, vet, and delivery tailored proposals/presentations via storytelling. The role is hands-on—pulling expertise from across the company, shaping RFP responses, and building trusted relationships to help close deals in a fast-moving media landscape.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer requirements and/or challenges to understand how Comcast Media 360 (or other) internal and external partner services can be applied to solve their needs.
  • Collaborate with sales professionals to:
  • Articulate the value of the solution for the customer to save money and/or prove the worth of the solution.
  • Create and deliver solution/sales presentations to customers in terms they can understand by reading the room and gauging the level of expertise, and tailoring messaging to the audience.
  • Pull information and expertise from all parts of the company (product, engineering, professional services, etc.) to help drive a comprehensive solution.
  • Formulate pricing that is both cost-effective and market competitive.
  • Serve as a technical expert to contribute to and review RFP responses for content and accuracy.
  • Provide technical and business support for events and trade shows.
  • Form trusted relationships with potential or existing customers to gain favor with technical abilities.
  • Attend and participate in customer meetings to uncovering their current challenges by asking appropriate questions and taking good notes.
  • Consistently exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.
  • 50% travel could be expected to customer sites, trade shows, and corporate offices.
