About The Position

Klima New Jersey (KNJ) is a member of the AIR Control Concepts family, focusing on technically demanding HVAC projects in the region. They represent top-tier HVAC manufacturers and provide strategic equipment solutions to consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, building owners, and end-users. The Northern NJ office is expanding and seeking a seasoned sales engineer to lead, influence, and deliver. This role offers a high-performance culture, supportive tools, a strong brand reputation, and a clear path to high earnings ($200K–$300K+ with no commission cap).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven success in HVAC equipment sales (preferably in a manufacturer’s rep or mechanical sales environment)
  • Strong relationships in the North Jersey engineering or contracting community
  • Deep understanding of HVAC systems, building design, and mechanical construction
  • Technical acumen with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and clearly
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Sciences, or Business (or equivalent experience)
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and driven by performance

Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand a book of business with established consulting engineers, design-build contractors, and key decision-makers across the Northern NJ market.
  • Analyze project specifications, select optimal equipment, and develop engineered solutions that meet both performance and budget goals.
  • Guide customers through complex HVAC applications with a consultative approach, delivering clarity, confidence, and value throughout the buying cycle.
  • Collaborate with inside application and estimating teams to ensure seamless proposals and execution.
  • Represent Klima and its manufacturers through presentations, industry events, and targeted technical discussions.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales targets with a focus on long-term client relationships.
