About The Position

In cybersecurity, technology too often overshadows the business element. At Nagomi, we’re restoring the balance. As the first Proactive Defense Platform, we help security teams measure, optimize, and prove the effectiveness of their existing tools without adding more complexity or noise. By unifying data across assets, threats, and defenses, we make it easy to reduce exposure, eliminate inefficiencies, and clearly communicate risk. We are looking for a Sales Engineer who thrives at the intersection of deep technical security and strategic business value. You won’t just be doing demos; you will be a trusted advisor helping CISOs and Security Operations teams realize they can do more with what they already have. What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day): Own the Technical Sale: Act as the technical authority in prospect meetings, translating Nagomi’s Proactive Defense vision into a clear, quantifiable value proposition. Consultative Discovery: Go beyond the "demo script." Ask the hard questions to uncover a prospect's true pain points and determine whether they are the ideal Nagomi customer (or not). Architect POVs: Lead the planning and execution of high-impact POVs. You’ll help customers quickly realize the value by showing them their own data in a new light. Strategic Documentation: Create compelling technical briefs, RFP responses, and POV playbacks that help customers articulate the value of Nagomi. Be a Feedback Loop: Work closely with Product and Engineering to funnel field insights back into the roadmap, ensuring we stay ahead of customer needs. Who you are: Self-Motivated: You don’t wait for a playbook to solve a problem; you build the solution and share it with the team. Insatiably Curious: You enjoy deconstructing a customer’s security stack to understand not just what isn't working, but why. Biased Toward Action: You value "done" over "perfect." You’d rather ship a v1 today and iterate than wait a month for a final draft. Low Ego, High Ambition: You care about the win and the customer’s success more than being the smartest person in the room. You take feedback as a gift.

Requirements

  • Cybersecurity Pedigree: Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or TAM within the cyber industry.
  • Ecosystem Knowledge: Experience navigating the world of channel partners, resellers, GSIs, or MSSPs.
  • Technical Breadth: Strong understanding of APIs, enterprise networking, and how different security tools (EDR, SIEM, Vulnerability Management) talk to each other.
  • Framework Fluent: Working knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and NIST.
  • The "Bridge": Exceptional ability to explain complex technical risk to a less technical stakeholder (CFO/CISO).
  • Geography: Strong preference for candidates in the Eastern Time Zone.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel for key customer visits and industry events.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience with CTEM (Continuous Threat Exposure Management).
  • Bilingual (English/French or English/Spanish).
  • The "X" Factor: You found your way to the hiring manager's inbox and sent a personalized pitch before we even called you. (Seriously).
