Avalon Holographics IncorporatedSt. John's, NL

About The Position

At Avalon Holographics, we’re replicating reality! We move fast, think big, and push boundaries to build technology that once lived only in science fiction. We’re developing the world’s most advanced holographic display, transforming how industries like medical, defense, and entertainment experience visual content, and unlocking possibilities we can’t even imagine yet! No headsets or glasses, just incredibly lifelike, 3D visuals! We’re at a pivotal stage of growth! Our technology is revolutionary, and the impact it will have globally is immense. To support this next phase, we’re looking for a Sales Engineer who will serve as the technical bridge between our customers and our product and engineering teams. This isn’t a plug-and-play role within a mature B2B sales pipeline. We’re still defining processes, validating use cases, and guiding customers as they explore how this breakthrough technology can solve real problems. We’re looking for someone who thrives in ambiguity, and is a technically strong, customer-facing problem solver who can turn curiosity into conviction.

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering, computer science, physics, optics, systems, or a related technical field
  • Strong understanding of complex hardware‑software systems and how they are integrated and deployed
  • Comfortable discussing data pipelines, visualization, system architecture, and performance trade‑offs
  • Experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar technical pre‑sales role
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Confident presenting, demoing, and leading technical discussions with senior stakeholders
  • Ability and willingness to travel across the United States and Canada when required
  • Experience with or exposure to deep tech, hardware, simulation, visualization, or emerging technology
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity where processes, positioning, and use cases are still evolving
  • Naturally curious, structured, and motivated to help build rather than inherit playbooks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with visualization systems, simulation, digital twins, medical imaging, or defense applications
  • Familiarity with enterprise or government customers and long, consultative sales cycles
  • Background working closely with R&D teams in product feedback and roadmap shaping

Responsibilities

  • Become the technical subject‑matter expert for Avalon’s holographic platform in customer and partner engagements
  • Support the business development and sales teams by leading technical discovery, demonstrations, and solution design
  • Work with customers and partners to understand their workflows, data, and decision‑making challenges and map those to compelling holographic use cases, requiring frequent travel across the United States and Canada
  • Translate customer requirements into clear technical input for product and engineering teams
  • Perform demos, proof‑of‑concepts, and pilot support for complex, high‑value opportunities
  • Help shape repeatable technical sales processes, demo environments, and solution playbooks
  • Contribute directly to defining product‑market fit by validating where the technology creates the most value

Benefits

  • Competitive salaries
  • Employee stock option grants
  • 100% employer-paid health and dental benefits
  • Flexible work policies
