To learn more about our unique culture, visit our culture page . HORIBA is seeking an Elite Sales Performer for the Northeast Region of the United States specifically residing within the territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific discipline, Master's or Ph.D. preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Experienced in selling into Life Sciences, Materials Science, and Penn Semiconductor Market.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • 50% Travel required
  • Prior Sales experience required with a minimum of 5 years in addition to sales training from a reputable Sales Training Program/Company
  • Technical, capital equipment, and optical / spectroscopy experience a requirement
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CRM, and Digital Marketing
  • Northeast Sales engineer covering MA, NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE, DC, ME, VT, NH, CT, RI, VA, WV, and living within the territory
  • Ability to present by themselves
  • Prospecting using contacts, digital media, and so forth
  • Ability to drive a sale from initial contact to close
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, desire to deliver results
  • Fast, self-directed learning.

Responsibilities

  • Selling the company's solutions and products across various fields and markets, including the Semiconductor, Life Sciences, and Material Sciences.
  • Selling various tools and solutions that include fluorescence, Raman, XRF, and Optical Spectroscopy Components and Custom Systems, etc.
  • Maintain client satisfaction through consistent and ongoing client contact and engagement while upholding the HORIBA Code of Conduct and Professionalism.
  • Expanding business in existing Accounts and securing business from new accounts.
  • Handle customer inquiries, actively prospect, and conduct product demonstrations and presentations effectively.
  • Develop customer interest in equipment, prepare quotations, and follow through for purchase orders.
  • Achieve the assigned sales target and develop a sales strategy.
  • Attend local trade shows and maintain a digital marketing portfolio via LinkedIn, ResearchGate, and more.
  • Actively engage in new scientific markets and develop strong client partnerships.
  • Stay current with trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend new products.
  • Maintain the customer/prospect database and activity using the existing company Salesforce CRM.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, including forecasts, activities, territory evaluation, and so forth.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
