About The Position

The Sales Engineer is a key technical contributor within Everfox’s Sales Engineering organization, responsible for supporting mission‑focused customers across the DC region. You will partner closely with customers, prospects, and internal teams to help solve complex cybersecurity challenges involving insider threat, data protection, cloud security, and enterprise‑scale analytics. This role serves as the primary technical point of contact during the sales cycle and collaborates across Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to ensure successful evaluations and pilots of Everfox Cloud and Data Security solutions. This position requires significant hands‑on experience with enterprise environments, strong cybersecurity knowledge, and the ability to demonstrate technical value with clarity and confidence.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of enterprise security technologies including: Internet security, Anti‑malware technologies, Proxy solutions, SIEM, networking, and scripting
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper‑V).
  • Proficiency with cloud and SaaS environments including AWS and Azure.
  • Ability to articulate product positioning and value to both technical and business users.
  • Experience developing technical content, supporting RFI/RFP responses, and contributing to sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong work ethic, disciplined approach, and commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
  • Ability to develop rapport with customers, partners, and internal teams.
  • Resilience and composure under pressure; able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Commitment to customer success and Everfox’s mission.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Sales Engineer supporting enterprise software solutions.
  • Proven success in complex technical sales environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales teams to formulate account strategies.
  • Experience building strong relationships with customer technical staff throughout the sales cycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and respond to RFIs/RFPs.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of sales cycles and presales processes.
  • Experience working with analyst teams and end users in enterprise environments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, rapidly evolving environment.
  • Active Top-Secret clearance required; TS/SCI preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers and prospects to understand requirements and position Everfox Security solutions for success.
  • Manage the complete technical sales process from discovery through proof‑of‑concept execution and proposal development.
  • Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demos; clearly articulate Everfox capabilities and competitive differentiation.
  • Handle technical objections confidently and provide expert guidance on architecture, deployment, integration, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during pilots; configure Everfox solutions in Windows and Linux environments to produce mission‑relevant analytic results.
  • Apply practical knowledge of key security domains including web security, email security, secure data transfer, and threat mitigation.
  • Work hands‑on in enterprise environments, including VMware and Hyper‑V, and cloud platforms such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Provide high‑quality technical support to sales teams, including presentations, responses to RFIs/RFPs, and strategic technical guidance.
  • Build strong, trust‑based relationships with technical stakeholders throughout the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support successful technical evaluations and pilots.
  • Represent Everfox at customer meetings, technical deep dives, and industry events.
  • Maintain disciplined organization, resilience, and focus while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
