About The Position

Feyen Zylstra is seeking a Sales Engineer (Account Manager) - Audio Visual for their Grand Rapids office. This role is responsible for bringing in new clients and customers as well as maintaining existing accounts within FZ’s audio visual group. The ideal candidate is a technical leader, problem solver, process-oriented, a scorekeeper, and a relationship builder. They will leverage their expertise to find solutions for customers' hardest problems, ensure field team development and project success, and lead with safety. They will also be responsible for prioritization, delegation, risk assessment, communication, and multi-tasking to address issues and emergencies. The role emphasizes the use of processes, standards, and early risk assessment to mitigate problems, and a focus on measuring progress and results to achieve goals and maintain customer satisfaction. Building strong relationships with GCs, subcontractors, vendors, and coworkers is crucial, as is being visible and accessible on job sites, influencing others, resolving conflict, and treating others with respect.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to understand industry codes, corporate practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project performance and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to travel regionally to project sites
  • High level AV, IT and IOT knowledge
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent organizational, communications, and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • BiAmp TesiraFORTE & Server programming or equivalent
