About The Position

The Sales Enablement Associate supports Marqeta’s go-to-market teams by creating high-quality content that helps sellers, partner managers, and solution consultants articulate Marqeta’s value with clarity and confidence. This role blends strong writing and visual storytelling with an ability to translate technical concepts APIs, card issuing workflows, fraud controls, and embedded finance use cases into accessible, field-ready materials. You’ll work cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, Solutions Engineering, and Partnerships to ensure content is accurate, current, and aligned to Marqeta’s messaging architecture. We work Flexible First. This role can be performed remote within the United States or from our Oakland, CA or New York City offices. We’d love for you to join us! NOTE: if you are based within 35 miles of our Oakland, California, New York City (Midtown) or London office, you will be expected to be in-office 2 days / week. Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in Sales Enablement, Sales Operations, Product Marketing, Customer Success, or related GTM roles, preferably in fintech
  • Strong writing and content-creation skills with the ability to simplify complaint or technical information.
  • Familiarity with fintech concepts such as payments, APIs, compliance, or financial services workflows.
  • Proficiency with presentation tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides) and comfort with enablement platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple content requests.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting sales teams in a fintech, payments, or financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with enablement platforms or LMS tools.
  • Ability to create visual or multimedia content (graphics, diagrams, short videos).
  • Interest in learning sales methodologies, product-led growth motions, and fintech regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain sales content including product one-pagers, pitch decks, competitive briefs, customer stories, and solution overviews tailored to fintech, payments, and embedded finance audiences.
  • Translate complex technical concepts (API endpoints, card lifecycle events, authorization logic, risk controls) into clear, compelling narratives for sellers and customers.
  • Support readiness for new product releases by developing content that explains capabilities, use cases, and differentiation.
  • Maintain the sales content library to ensure materials are organized, searchable, and version-controlled.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Solutions Engineering to gather insights and convert them into structured, accurate enablement assets.
  • Assist with onboarding content, including role-specific guides, micro-learning modules, and process documentation.
  • Track content usage and feedback to identify gaps and continuously improve content quality and relevance.
  • Support enablement programs such as sales training, product deep dives, and GTM readiness cycles.
