About The Position

The West Coast Sales Director will be a key member of the commercial team, responsible for driving strategic growth in Aker BioMarine's B2B ingredient portfolio including Superba, Revervia, Lysoveta and PL+. This role requires a seasoned sales leader with a proven track record in managing large, complex accounts - including brands, contract manufacturers, retailers and strategic partners in West Coast. The Director will lead the development and execution of high-impact sales strategies, foster long-term client relationships, and ensure revenue and profitability targets are consistently met or exceeded. The role is based in California, USA and is a hybrid remote position.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of B2B sales experience in the dietary supplements and nutraceuticals.
  • A proven track record of managing large key accounts based in West Coast.
  • Strong background in account-based selling, solution-based sales, and value-driven negotiation for science-based ingredients.
  • Experience working with strategic national brands, retailers and key accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage long sales cycles and complex negotiations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic and multi-cultural environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Bachelor's or a master's degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • Deep understanding of omega-3, marine ingredients, or related science-based categories is plus.
  • MBA or related graduate degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage key account relationships with national brands, contract manufacturers and other strategic B2B partners.
  • Ensure that individual revenue and profitability targets are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Develop and execute the local sales strategy for our portfolio of ingredients in line with the company’s objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities to expand the company’s customer base for all our portfolio.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and scientific teams to create customized value propositions for strategic clients.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams based in HQ.
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and annual business planning with top-tier accounts.
  • Track and analyze sales performance, pipeline progress, and account health using CRM and reporting tools.
  • Represent the company at key industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activity in the omega-3 and supplement sector.
