The Sales Director leads the full sales cycle for accounts in a designated territory — from first-meeting qualification of business challenges, through technology demonstration, proposal delivery, proof of concept of advisory support, and negotiated close — selling a subscription that combines the RepTrak Compass platform with embedded advisory services. This requires comfort with both a consultative, longer-cycle advisory sale and a SaaS-style technical demo, often within the same deal.

  • Work Location: This position is fully remote. Ideal candidates are located on the West Coast of the US in the PT time zone.

  • The role encompasses a compensation package including a competitive salary and an annual performance bonus plan.

  • RepTrak employs individuals globally in cities of varying costs of livings. As such, our compensation pay rates are adjusted to the local cost of living based on the hiring city. For a Sales Director role, the global OTE range across all cities generally falls within $150,000-$300,000 USD with a large component of variable commission-based pay. The high end of this spectrum corresponds to more expensive cities and/or greater experience. We use a formulaic global normalizing index to calculate equitable salaries across cities to ensure internal and external equity.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing a keen understanding of Reputation Management and Stakeholder Measurement, and communicating the key challenges facing corporate communications teams in building and protecting a sustainable company reputation.
  • Selling and demonstrating the RepTrak Compass platform — dashboards, benchmarking, and AI as a Stakeholder — alongside the embedded advisory relationship (strategic sessions, briefings, workshops) that comes with each subscription tier.
  • Developing deep fluency in the priorities of Corporate Communications, Corporate Affairs, Public Relations, Marketing and Sustainability as well as HR, Investors Relations and Risk Management, and building multi-threaded relationships across at least three stakeholders per account before a deal progresses.
  • Understanding and confidently defending RepTrak's market research methodology — primary research, normative benchmarking, and multi-stakeholder data — to research-savvy buyers who will scrutinize sample quality and comparability.
  • Actively building pipeline through social selling — including LinkedIn prospecting, posting and ongoing engagement with leads and target-account stakeholders through social a core prospecting channel alongside outbound and inbound.
  • Driving all new sales through every stage of the pipeline, from lead generation to closed deal.
  • Building and managing a high-quality prospect pipeline through account targeting, inbound lead follow-up, prospecting, and networking into an assigned territory.
  • Leveraging research, marketing content, and events to stimulate prospects and sustain an ongoing dialogue that moves them through the sales cycle.
  • Scheduling, professionally presenting, and providing consistent follow-up on all sales meetings.
  • Owning day-to-day pipeline management against team KPIs, including: Bookings — meeting or exceeding assigned quota, Pipeline generation — hitting quarterly pipeline creation targets, Completed and future meetings — maintaining a consistent, forward-booked meeting cadence, Salesforce hygiene — keeping opportunity, contact, and activity data accurate and current.
