About The Position

Sales Director – Apparel Manufacturing (USA) Location: New York, NY Compensation: Competitive Salary + Performance Bonus Industry: Apparel & Textile Manufacturing About the Company Our client is a leading vertically integrated apparel manufacturer with owned production facilities across China and Southeast Asia. The company partners with global fashion brands, retailers, and private-label customers, providing end-to-end product development, sourcing, manufacturing, and supply chain solutions. As part of its strategic expansion into the North American market, the company is establishing a commercial presence in the United States and is seeking an experienced Sales Director to drive growth and build long-term partnerships with leading brands and retailers. The Opportunity This is a highly entrepreneurial role for a commercially driven sales professional who understands the apparel supply chain and has an established network within the US fashion, retail, and branded apparel sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, expanding key accounts, and positioning the company as a preferred manufacturing partner for US customers.

Requirements

  • Proven success in business development and sales within the apparel, textile, sourcing, or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong network and relationships with US apparel brands, retailers, and/or private-label organizations.
  • Deep understanding of apparel manufacturing, sourcing, product development, and global supply chains.
  • Track record of winning new accounts and growing revenue.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently in a fast-growing environment.
  • Strong commercial negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow revenue across the US market.
  • Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities with apparel brands, retailers, and private-label customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers across sourcing, product development, merchandising, and executive leadership teams.
  • Lead the entire sales process from prospecting and opportunity development through negotiation and contract closure.
  • Collaborate closely with product development, merchandising, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to deliver customer solutions.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and market intelligence to senior management.
  • Support the establishment and growth of the company's US commercial operations.
