About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to support the North American Sales effort across new business within the Data & Research. Successful team members will develop critical skills and competencies that will help them progress their careers within the D&R sales team. This is a client facing role where team members build relationships with existing revenue as well as identifying upsell opportunities. This role exposes the candidate to broadening cross-asset knowledge across the markets, broadening knowledge about the finance industry, learning product selling features and narratives, and vital sales skills such as lead generation, cold calling, pitching, negotiations, and contracting skills.

Requirements

  • 1-4 Years experience in Finance, preferably at a Data Provider.
  • Organizational skills are incredibly important.
  • The ability to network and build relationships.
  • Basic understanding of financial markets, instruments, financial math is a benefit.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Curious about the financial services industry and a willingness to learn.
  • Enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks and problem solving.
  • Committed to personal and professional development.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with platforms such as Salesforce or Outreach.io an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Help manage prospecting efforts, including marketing leads, new business campaigns, and customer upgrade campaigns.
  • Manage sales tasks within the CRM system.
  • Assist the sales team with booking meetings, preparing materials, and presenting at meetings.
  • Analyze territories and existing accounts to identify cross-sell opportunities.
  • Work with legal and sales management to accurately deliver proposals and contracts.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
