This role offers an opportunity to enter the technology sales industry, gain experience selling to senior finance executives across various industries in North America, and be mentored by experienced sales professionals.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in a BDR/SDR or equivalent sales role.
  • Proven track record of generating an outbound pipeline from scratch.
  • Proficiency in cold calling, cold emailing, social selling, and creative prospecting.
  • Skilled in engaging multiple stakeholders across an account simultaneously, mapping buying committees, and building champions at all levels.
  • Consistent achievement of 90%+ quota attainment for outbound-specific metrics (meetings booked, pipeline generated, sequences launched).
  • Naturally curious and confident, with the ability to ask sharp questions, listen actively, and tailor messages to different personas.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to discern prospect problems and connect them to Versapay's solutions.
  • High energy with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bias toward action and proactive pipeline generation.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-moving, evolving environments and adapt approach without losing momentum.
  • Collaborative and coachable, with the ability to partner with AEs on account and territory planning.
  • Proficiency with sales tools such as Gong, Salesforce, or Sales Navigator.
  • Knowledge of how to build and optimize sequences that convert.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling into the office of the CFO.
  • Understanding of compliance considerations, buying cycles, and stakeholder complexity associated with selling to the CFO.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for Versapay in the customer value journey, qualifying contacted customers for further engagement with sales teams.
  • Evaluate customers' understanding of Versapay's solutions and their readiness to address AR challenges.
  • Proactively prospect new potential customers through phone, email, and social media to create interest in Versapay and schedule discovery calls for the sales team.
  • Research accounts, contacts, and key players to generate and stimulate buying interest through lead nurturing, emails, and collateral.
  • Manage and overcome objections effectively.
  • Document successes in Salesforce Lightning CRM and ensure marketing automation data is complete and up-to-date.
  • Build pipeline, gain exposure to all aspects of a sales cycle, and collaborate on improving lead quality and best practices.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to support lead generation programs from planning to follow-up and tracking.
  • Assist with tradeshow/event logistics and support when possible.
  • Contribute to a positive company culture focused on learning, growth, and career acceleration.
