About The Position

Inspira Education Group is a rapidly expanding edtech startup dedicated to democratizing access to high-quality coaching for students worldwide. As a leading network of admissions coaches, we are innovating application processes with products and services designed to provide an equal platform for diverse candidates globally. Our growth is supported by prominent venture capital firms and investors. This role, titled SDR, deviates from a traditional sales function. The primary focus is on building the company's talent pipeline, collaborating closely with founders to identify, evaluate, and recruit individuals for critical positions. It involves applying SDR-style prospecting and outreach techniques to talent acquisition rather than sales. This position offers direct exposure to the strategic hiring decisions of a startup's founding team, including identifying key roles, assessing candidate quality, and nurturing relationships with potential hires before they are actively seeking new opportunities. It is an ideal opportunity for an energetic, eager-to-learn individual early in their career seeking greater responsibility than a standard SDR role typically provides. This role requires a 5-day-a-week in-office presence in our NYC (Gramercy) location.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience as an SDR or in a comparable outbound/prospecting role (the prospecting and outreach skills are what transfer here - not sales itself)
  • High energy, strong work ethic, and a genuine willingness to learn a new skill set outside the traditional SDR path
  • Comfortable with high-volume outreach and consistent follow-up
  • Strong written communication - you can write a compelling, personalized message quickly
  • Organized and detail-oriented; able to manage a large, active pipeline without things falling through the cracks
  • Excited to work closely with founders and take on real responsibility early in your career

Responsibilities

  • Work directly and closely with the founders to build and maintain a pipeline of candidates for open roles across the company
  • Research and identify prospective candidates using LinkedIn and other sourcing tools
  • Write and send personalized outreach messaging to engage candidates and build relationships over time
  • Track and manage pipeline activity and candidate status in our ATS
  • Help refine our sourcing approach as you learn what resonates with different types of candidates
  • Take on ad hoc projects with the founders as priorities shift

Benefits

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, base plans 100% employer paid
  • Pre-tax benefits (FSA, DCFSA, HSA, Commuter)
  • Flexible paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company match
