About The Position

Momentum Solar is seeking a Sales Development Representative for a high-performance appointment-setting role in the growing residential solar industry. This is a W-2, full-time position with a base hourly rate plus uncapped commission. The role involves making high-volume outbound calls to homeowners to schedule consultations for Solar Consultants. The company emphasizes people development, with opportunities for advancement from entry-level to management roles. This position requires a quiet, distraction-free home workspace with specific equipment requirements and mandates that the candidate resides in New Jersey.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent outbound, phone-based appointment setting experience (field or virtual sales)
  • Must reside in New Jersey within the United States
  • Full-time: 40 hours/week
  • Must be able to work Tuesday- Saturday and Sunday- Thursday (assigned after training)
  • Training Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:50 am - 6:00 pm EST / 7:50am-5pm CST
  • Quiet, distraction-free home workspace
  • Own equipment: Computer with 16GB RAM minimum; Intel i5 (or AMD equivalent); 2.0 GHz quad-core or better
  • Internet: minimum 100 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload
  • Dual monitors required
  • Office headset with noise-canceling microphone required
  • 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • W-2 full-time employment (not contract)

Responsibilities

  • High-volume outbound calling to residential homeowners daily (cold calling)
  • Deliver a concise, confident pitch about solar and schedule qualified appointments
  • Work from company-provided databases, referrals, and marketing leads to identify and qualify prospects
  • Document outcomes accurately to support follow-up and field execution
  • Participate in ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback
  • Hit daily/weekly/monthly activity and appointment targets
