About The Position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Influence Group is a hybrid researcher and sales strategist, serving as the critical front line for our sales team. Unlike a traditional SDR role, you will work directly with our SalesOps Manager to analyze our core verticals—including retail, restaurant, hotel, and healthcare—to identify underserved market categories and strategic growth opportunities. Your mission is two-fold: to build precision-targeted prospect lists using tools like ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Nav, and to act as the primary point of contact to "open the door." You will educate potential customers on the value of our events and qualify their interest before seamlessly handing them off to our sales team to close the deal. This is a high-impact position designed for an ambitious professional who enjoys the intersection of data-driven research and active business development, with a clear growth trajectory into a full-cycle sales role as you master our ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Basic CRM experience preferred
  • Experience with platforms like Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable speaking with senior level decision makers
  • Some experience with sales prospecting, both research and calling, research and customer qualification
  • Persistent, curious, disciplined and excited about growing a business

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Market Research: Partner with SalesOps to map out our verticals, identify underserved market categories, and analyze the competitive landscape to ensure no potential opportunities are missed.
  • Precision Prospecting: Utilize tools such as ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Nav to build high-quality prospect lists, ensuring our CRM (HubSpot) is always populated with relevant, actionable data.
  • Outreach & Qualification: Execute multi-channel outreach (calls, emails, social) to initiate conversations, qualify prospect needs against our event offerings, and establish initial interest.
  • Seamless Handoffs: Maintain a "qualify-and-handoff" model, transitioning warm, qualified prospects to the sales team to finalize partnerships.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Regularly review competitor activity within our verticals to stay ahead of market trends, proactively identifying potential customers and ensuring they are being actively worked within our system.
  • Pipeline & CRM Hygiene: Manage day-to-day activity in HubSpot, tracking interactions and providing feedback on lead quality to continuously refine our research and outreach strategies.
