About The Position

The BCD Sales Development Representative will manage a portfolio of regional accounts while developing commercial sales skills through hands-on experience, cross-functional training, and customer engagement. The role will support activities related to pricing, supply chain, operations, product management, and AI-enabled productivity, helping build the foundation for future sales opportunities within BCD.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Relevant experience in sales, customer service, supply chain, operations, product management, or a related business function preferred.
  • Strong interest in commercial sales and chemical distribution.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and CRM tools.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, coachability, professionalism, and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, customer service, and teamwork.
  • Willingness to learn and responsibly leverage AI tools to improve commercial effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Complete structured training across BCD sales, pricing, supply chain, operations, product management, customer service, finance, legal, EHS, and Local Chemical Distribution (LCD) functions.
  • Manage a portfolio of regional BCD accounts, supporting customer retention, growth initiatives, account planning, and issue resolution.
  • Execute pricing activities including quotes, contract reviews, price updates, and margin tracking.
  • Analyze customer trends, profitability, market opportunities, and competitive activity to support business growth.
  • Utilize approved AI tools to enhance account research, customer analysis, sales planning, communication, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with sales, product management, supply chain, operations, customer service, finance, legal, quality, EHS, and LCD teams to support customers and business objectives.
  • Participate in customer visits, supplier meetings, terminal visits, ride-alongs, and business reviews to strengthen commercial capabilities.
  • Supports a regional account portfolio with volume, revenue, margin, and retention objectives.
  • Assists with pricing execution, market analysis, pipeline visibility, and customer growth planning.
  • Develops foundational knowledge of chemical distribution, supply chain economics, customer applications, and commercial strategy.
  • Structured developmental role designed to prepare employees for future BCD Account Manager opportunities.
  • Ability to participate in plant, terminal, and customer site visits where PPE may be required.
  • Must comply with all company safety, compliance, security, and Responsible Distribution requirements.
