About The Position

ShipMonk is seeking a Sales Development Representative to drive new business by sourcing and qualifying outbound accounts. This role is the first point of contact for clients and involves educating potential clients about ShipMonk services through social media, email campaigns, and phone calls. Sales Development Representatives are expected to be passionate, goal-oriented, and possess a "Get Sht Done" attitude.

Requirements

  • Performance & Results Driven: Sales, portfolio, or relationship experience strongly preferred with the proven ability to drum up new business and spark engagement with potential merchants.
  • Comfortable in a competitive environment, with evidence of personal ambition.
  • Voracious Learner: Innate desire to learn and master new information.
  • Consultative: Focused on the customer’s best interests over closing a deal, pointing prospective accounts into the correct fit using ShipMonk knowledge/features.
  • Team Player: Actively contributes to the group to meet goals, tasks, and projects. Actively listens to coworkers, respects ideas, and aims to win.
  • 0–2 years of sales or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Learn & Educate: Quickly grasp ShipMonk’s products’ features and articulate relevant information accurately and persuasively.
  • Outstanding Communication Skills: Deliver a flawless, engaging pitch customized to the listener’s pain points to encourage deeper exploration of ShipMonk’s capabilities.
  • Relationship Builder: Connect with people and build mutually rewarding relationships with a GSD attitude. Build rapport through outstanding research and custom outreach with ideal customers.
  • Problem Solver: Get to the root cause of issues, use critical skills to generate solutions, and schedule time with team experts to solidify recommendations or solve problems.
  • Make 60 phone calls and send 40 emails per day using Outreach.
  • Conduct discovery calls and build initial relationships with prospective customers.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records (Salesforce).
  • Set qualified meetings for Account Executives to close deals.
  • Stay current on eCommerce trends and logistics solutions.
