About The Position

Nectir is seeking to hire two Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to spearhead their entry into the private and independent high school market. This role is crucial for building the initial account map, executing a phone-first outbound strategy, and generating a consistent flow of qualified meetings for the Account Executives. The SDR will report to the Head of Sales and will be instrumental in developing the sales playbook for this new market segment. The position involves significant cold calling, personalized outreach via email and LinkedIn, territory and account strategy development, and rigorous qualification of leads. The SDR will also contribute to building AI-assisted workflows and documenting successful sales strategies. Requirements

  • 2+ years of outbound SDR/BDR experience with a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding monthly qualified meeting targets.
  • Significant cold calling experience and a genuine enthusiasm for phone-based outreach.
  • Resilience to handle high volumes of rejection and low connect rates without compromising output or tone.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft specific, concise outreach messages free of jargon.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools to enhance productivity, with the judgment to verify information before prospect outreach.
  • Comfort prospecting and engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to navigate complex institutional decision-making processes.

  • Experience selling into Independent High Schools, K-12, higher education, or other educational institutions.
  • Experience selling AI, analytics, or learning technology.

Responsibilities

  • Execute a phone-first outbound sales motion, making a high volume of calls daily.
  • Identify and connect with the key decision-maker (e.g., principal, head of school, IT director) at each target school.
  • Conduct meaningful conversations with educators, addressing their needs and potential skepticism.
  • Supplement phone outreach with personalized email and LinkedIn messages.
  • Develop and maintain a tiered, named account map of private high schools.
  • Research target schools to understand their curriculum, technology, budget cycles, and decision-making processes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of account coverage and status in the CRM.
  • Generate qualified meetings and opportunities for Account Executives.
  • Rigorously qualify leads to ensure high-quality meetings for AEs.
  • Collaborate with AEs and marketing to analyze conversion rates and refine strategies.
  • Build AI-assisted workflows for research, list-building, contact sourcing, and call sequencing.
  • Document effective sales openers, sequences, and objection-handling techniques.
  • Share best practices and insights with the SDR team to accelerate ramp-up time for new hires.
