About The Position

Speakeasy is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to be the first point of contact for prospective customers of the Speakeasy AI Control Plane. The SDR will research and prospect into target accounts, run multi-channel outbound sequences, qualify inbound leads, and book meetings that generate pipeline for the Account Executive team. This role is crucial in ensuring Speakeasy is part of the market's conversation around adopting AI safely. It's a high-activity, high-impact position within a company that is rapidly growing in the developer tooling and AI space.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intellectually curious about AI and how enterprises adopt new technology.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage high volumes of accounts, follow-ups, and competing priorities.
  • Comfortable with rejection and able to maintain momentum in a high-activity outbound motion.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • High ownership and autonomy.
  • Coachable and able to apply feedback quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify potential leads within the developer and B2B software space through various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, and social selling.
  • Conduct initial conversations with prospects to understand their pain points, budget, and decision-making authority, assessing their needs and how Speakeasy can address them.
  • Manage assigned lead pipeline effectively, using CRM software to track progress, qualify leads, and provide accurate forecasts.
  • Schedule and conduct engaging product demos for qualified leads, showcasing Speakeasy's features and benefits.
  • Support the Account Executive team with research, account context, and clean handoffs.
  • Establish initial relationships with potential customers and nurture them through the sales process, building trust and demonstrating Speakeasy's value proposition.
