About The Position

Quickplay is seeking a Sales Development & Deal Operations Lead to enhance capabilities within the Chief Business Officer (CBO) office. This pivotal role operates at the intersection of sales, marketing, and business development, focusing equally on opening new opportunities and managing high-priority deals through to closure. The position is AI-forward, with an expectation to help build an agent stack for sales operations, including CRM hygiene, pipeline reporting, board-deck generation, content drafting, and research. This role is ideal for someone who views AI as a leverage tool and wants to influence the operation of a modern sales organization.

Requirements

  • A few years working in a sales or sales operations role with experience in both opening opportunities and running deals.
  • Comfort pitching live and handling objections on discovery calls.
  • CRM fluency, with working knowledge of HubSpot or a comparable platform, including pipeline metrics, conversion analysis, and dashboard building.
  • Genuine AI fluency, with experience using tools like Claude or ChatGPT to rethink work processes, and ideally configuring AI-assisted workflows.
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting and editing outbound sequences, reviewing AI-generated content, and contributing to customer-facing materials.
  • Comfort in ambiguity and startup environments, with a willingness to build processes and thrive in fast-moving, cross-functional settings.
  • Willingness to adhere to Quickplay's brand language standards.

Nice To Haves

  • B2B SaaS or sports/media technology experience, ideally selling into sports leagues, teams, media companies, or telcos.
  • A track record of using AI to compress operational work with specific examples.
  • Exposure to complex enterprise deals requiring coordination across multiple internal functions (product, legal, finance, solutions engineering).
  • Experience in a sales/marketing hybrid or sales ops role with multiple responsibilities and comfort in ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop target account lists with a clear strategic thesis, refining the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and identifying high-value segments.
  • Design and launch outbound sequences, collaborating with marketing on messaging and positioning.
  • Deliver the Quickplay pitch on discovery calls to qualify opportunities.
  • Support marketing campaigns with insights from outbound work.
  • Act as a project manager for high-priority deals, alongside the sales executive.
  • Own follow-ups and scheduling to maintain deal momentum.
  • Orchestrate internal tasks including pricing approvals, technical scoping, timeline construction, and proposal assembly.
  • Coordinate with product, solutions engineering, and finance teams.
  • Manage deal hygiene in the CRM for real-time leadership visibility.
  • Identify, build, and operate AI agents for sales operations tasks such as CRM hygiene, pipeline reporting, executive deck generation, target research, sequence drafting, content production, and event logistics.
