About The Position

Azteca Milling is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Manager with a strong background in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. The role focuses on identifying market opportunities for new products, clients, and territories, nurturing leads, and contributing to strategic business growth. Potential markets include Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, Arkansas, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wyoming.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, and marketing roles, preferably in the food industry. Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered.
Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Solid understanding of lead generation methods and business growth strategies.
Heavy travel as needed.
Bilingual English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

Conducts thorough market analysis to pinpoint new business opportunities across various territories or market segments, including competitive landscape, consumer demand, and market trends.
Develops comprehensive strategies for entering new markets or launching new products, including business models, pricing, strategic alliances, and product adaptation.
Establishes and nurtures relationships with key partners, prospective clients, and stakeholders in new territories, negotiating agreements and building alliances.
Engages with small distributors and direct/indirect retailers across various potential markets.
Provides training and development to the marketing team in established territories on new market/product characteristics, sales strategies, and cultural adaptations.
Monitors performance metrics after implementing expansion strategies and makes necessary adjustments to meet company objectives.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
