Account Development Representatives research customers, start conversations and uncover opportunities for the wider sales team.

Requirements

• An undergraduate junior or senior, or a master's student, interested in sales or business development. Students from any major may apply.
• Clear written and verbal communication, active listening and willingness to initiate conversations.
• Evidence of pursuing a challenging goal, handling setbacks and acting on feedback.
• Reliable follow-through, strong organization and curiosity about how a technical product solves customer problems.

Nice To Haves

• Sales coursework or competitions, customer-facing work, fundraising, athletics, entrepreneurship or student leadership.
• CRM experience is useful.
• Prior professional sales experience and an engineering degree are not required.

Responsibilities

• Build the foundations of a career in B2B technology sales with our Atlanta team.
• Contribute to prospecting, practice discovery and learn to connect Tractian's capabilities to a customer's business priorities.
• Research manufacturers, facilities and decision-makers to identify accounts and relevant reasons to reach out.
• Prepare and conduct phone, email and LinkedIn outreach with guidance from the sales team.
• Practice discovery questions, respond to objections and explain the business impact of equipment downtime.
• Keep HubSpot research and follow-up accurate; track agreed goals and improve your approach through coaching.
