About The Position

As a Sales & Design Specialist at Herman Miller, you represent the brand and guide clients through personalized consultations. You combine design sensibility with consultative selling to help clients create spaces that support wellness and productivity. You serve as a trusted advisor and design consultant to clients who value quality, ergonomics, and timeless style, and contribute to the store’s success. The role reports directly to the General Manager.

Requirements

Proven experience in retail sales, interior design, or client-facing design consultation.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design/rendering tools.
Ability to lift or move items over 40 lbs and adhere to safety protocols.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Inspire and educate clients through in-store demonstrations and personalized consultations.
Design tailored solutions that align with clients’ needs, preferences, and wellness goals.
Drive sales by building strong client relationships and proactively following up on leads.
Collaborate with the Architecture & Design community to grow brand awareness and partnerships.
Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure a premium store experience.
Process transactions and manage orders accurately and efficiently.
