About The Position

Rockingham Cooperative is seeking a part-time Sales/Delivery Associate for its Strasburg Farm location. This role is responsible for providing superior customer service, operating the cash register, assisting customers, and coordinating deliveries. The ideal candidate will be a hardworking, effective team player with excellent communication and organizational skills. Rockingham Cooperative has a long history, serving as a resource to exceed customer expectations since 1921.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
At least two years of experience.
Excellent communication, organizational, and follow-up skills.
Proven ability to interact well with others and offer great customer service.
Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
Requires climbing, stooping, bending, and crawling frequently.
Understand basic computer programs and learn systems.

Responsibilities

Greet and acknowledge all customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Provide prompt and superior customer service.
Operate the cash register and point of sale system.
Handle customer complaints effectively.
Answer telephones.
Keep the sales area stocked with merchandise, including pricing, dating, and displaying items.
Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the sales area.
Assist in the warehouse with stocking, loading, and unloading merchandise, and maintaining a neat and orderly area.
Check incoming merchandise against invoices or orders for shortages and damages, and report to management.
Attend store meetings and training sessions to gain product knowledge.
Assist in the coordination of deliveries.
Perform other duties as assigned.
