This internship supports Miller Manufacturing’s sales organization through hands-on learning, analysis, and sales execution while developing future sales talent through structured exposure, real-world projects, and executive presentation experience.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Marketing, Agribusiness, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Interest in sales, business development, or sales operations.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to summarize insights clearly for stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams (Sales Operations, Customer Service, Sales leadership).
  • Comfort working with data to identify trends, segment accounts, and prioritize opportunities.
  • Ability to create professional presentations and deliver a capstone project presentation to leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Learn Miller products, markets, customers, and sales channels (farm, ranch, and pet) to support sales execution and customer development
  • Assist Sales Operations, Customer Service, and Sales leadership with day-to-day activities to support efficient sales operations and customer service
  • Observe sales calls, account reviews, and internal planning meetings to build selling and customer-development skills
  • Support order entry, pricing, promotions, and sales documentation as assigned to ensure accurate and timely sales transactions and records
  • Analyze customer data, sales trends, and seasonal demand patterns to support sales planning and execution
  • Conduct basic competitive and pricing analysis and summarize findings for stakeholders to inform competitive positioning and pricing opportunities
  • Identify customer growth, upsell, and expansion opportunities and document a rationale supported by data to recommend prioritized sales opportunities
  • Create customer journey maps by sales channel to document key touchpoints, decision drivers, and opportunities to improve the customer experience
  • Develop account segmentation and market analysis summaries to define target customer groupings and highlight priority segments
  • Prepare and deliver a capstone project presentation to leadership; complete a final internship reflection to communicate project scope, recommendations, and key learning
