About The Position

The Sales Counselor at Everstory Partners is a relationship-focused sales professional who helps individuals and families make funeral and cemetery decisions with confidence and care. The role combines consultative and business-to-consumer sales, business development, lead generation, prospecting, and community outreach to build customer relationships and develop new business. The Sales Counselor guides families through purchasing decisions, manages customer activity and leads in HubSpot CRM, and earns commission based on individual sales performance. The position sells pre-need and at-need funeral services, cemetery property, memorialization products, and related merchandise. Counselors meet with individuals and families to understand their needs, explain available options, and provide compassionate guidance. They develop prospects through inbound leads, walk-ins, referrals, proactive prospecting, networking, and community outreach, then manage follow-up and sales opportunities through the sales process. Targeted first-year earnings are $70,000 to $100,000, though actual earnings may be below or above that range based on sales performance. Compensation is uncapped commissions or a guaranteed minimum hourly rate, whichever is greater. The first six weeks include paid hourly training. The role is based at Woodmere Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan, and includes local customer appointments, community events, and occasional attendance at funeral and memorial services. Employees must obtain and maintain applicable state-required licenses or registrations within 60 days of employment or the timeframe required by state law.
