About The Position

The HIW Sales Coordinator’s primary function is supporting the sales function for existing and prospective customers to sell Distribution's full range of products to The Home Depot and Lowe’s. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the HIW Sales Service Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our fast-paced sales and purchasing associates in customer service, order entry, product availability inquiry, etc. This person will assist customers and vendors with telephone sales or service inquiries, provide sales and marketing communication with other associates, assist with order-entry, execute program sales, and manage electronic orders. Requirements

  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills including written and verbal (face to face and over the phone)
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP, ASCEND and other customer service tools
  • Strong proficiency in Office, Excel, Word, and Web-based programs
  • Advanced knowledge of products, pricing and customers
  • Solid knowledge of business data and information
  • Proven time management skills and ability to work in a highly organized manner.
  • Proven accuracy/attention to detail with data and information.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintains strong working relationships internally and externally, demonstrates strong collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and use of data and analytics to inform decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and assists sellers, using expert level knowledge in complex customer service processes and sales tools to audit and insure orders are received, priced accurately, entered, shipped and invoiced in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Understanding of substitution strategy and options by customer program in collaboration with sales.
  • Proactively utilizes self-serve reporting features for effective and ongoing customer account and order file management.
  • Effectively communicates and takes ownership of interactions and escalated situations.
  • Viewed as a Customer Service subject matter expert.
  • Troubleshoots complex problems and orders with little to no guidance and low to no error rate while assisting others with complex problems as needed.
  • Anticipates future needs and proactively solves problems.
  • Uses strong knowledge of customers, procedures, products, and services to provide excellent customer service and meet customer needs.
  • Maintains customer relationships across multiple regions.
  • Works closely with customer base to build rapport, understands customer needs and proactively work to fulfill customer expectations.
  • Investigates and resolves relationship-based sales issues.
  • Uses knowledge, relationships and position of influence to proactively promote full range of products to established and prospective customers.
  • Executes promotions, specials, market pull through activities, and updates to products/pricing/service.
  • Collaborates to build and maintain strong relationships with peers, coworkers, internal/external customers, and broader team members and resources.
  • Responsible for training and development of less senior CSRs including development of training documentation on occasion.
