Heaton Sales Coordinator
About The Position
Heaton Erecting is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Sales Coordinator to support our business development, estimating, and operations teams as we continue growing throughout Georgia and the Southeast. This is not a traditional administrative support position. You will work directly with sales professionals, estimators, project managers, field leaders, operations personnel, and customers to help move opportunities from initial inquiry through project execution. Your work will help support commercial, industrial, and structural steel projects while providing exposure to multiple areas of the construction business. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career within a growing organization while gaining valuable experience in sales support, estimating coordination, project planning, customer relations, and construction operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in administrative support, sales support, customer service, project coordination, or construction administration
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience supporting construction, industrial services, crane operations, rigging, transportation, equipment rental, or related industries
- Experience with CRM systems, estimating software, or project management platforms
- Understanding of construction project workflows and customer service processes
- Experience coordinating bids, proposals, contracts, or project documentation
Responsibilities
- Support business development and customer relationship activities
- Assist with customer communications, follow-up, and opportunity tracking
- Coordinate meetings, site visits, and customer interactions
- Help maintain strong customer relationships through responsive communication
- Assist with estimate and proposal preparation
- Support bid tracking and opportunity management activities
- Coordinate proposal deadlines and project information requests
- Maintain accurate records of project opportunities and customer activity
- Work with operations and estimating teams to support project planning activities
- Assist with project documentation and administrative coordination
- Support communication between customers, sales teams, and field operations
- Help ensure information flows efficiently throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintain CRM, sales activity, and customer records
- Track project opportunities, bid schedules, and customer communications
- Prepare reports and support departmental initiatives
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the organization
