About The Position

Gellert Global Group (GGG) is a leading North American food importing company with over 100 years of experience and combined revenues exceeding $1.7 billion. GGG companies offer expertise in sourcing, logistics, food safety, and more, serving retailers, distributors, foodservice chains, and other businesses. GGG is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Sales Coordinator to support its Foodservice sales channel. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in foodservice sales, customer support, sales operations, reporting, and cross-functional business processes. The position involves partnering with Sales Managers and internal teams to manage customer requests, maintain sales information, support new product initiatives, and ensure timely follow-through on sales activities. This is a hybrid role currently based in Elizabeth, NJ, with an upcoming relocation to Madison, NJ, in Q1 2027.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Supply Chain, Culinary, or a food-related curriculum field.
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in sales support, customer service, culinary, foodservice operations, or a related environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proactive communicator with strong organizational skills and a customer service mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through.
  • Ability to analyze data and reports.
  • Strong interest in food and building a career in sales, account management, or sales operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative and coordination support to the Foodservice sales team, including customer inquiries, follow-ups, sample requests, POS materials, spec sheets, presentations, and new customer setup.
  • Support sales meetings, trade show preparation, food show execution, customer calls, trainings, and foodservice events.
  • Maintain customer lists, trackers, CRM updates, sales activity records, and the Foodservice SharePoint site to ensure information is accurate and current.
  • Assist with RMA and credit request processes and track follow-up activities to ensure customer needs are addressed promptly.
  • Coordinate communication around product availability, pricing, promotions, lead times, out-of-stock updates, new item launches, and customer-level launch support.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Customer Excellence, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, Quality Assurance, and Pricing teams to support customer requirements and sales initiatives.
  • Review and route new customer inquiries from trade shows, websites, and customer service channels.
  • Run sales reports, support basic sales analysis, and track quarterly wins and losses, customer opportunities, assortment gaps, sales initiatives, and key deadlines.
  • Help keep projects, customer opportunities, and sales priorities moving forward through timely follow-up, organization, and clear communication.
